Triple Peaks Challenge 2011

<p>Age and experience proved to be the winner as four athletes aged in their 40s headed home the Triple Peaks Challenge over the landmarks of Erin, Kahuranaki and Te Mata on Saturday.</p> <p>Category 40-49yrs runners Ross McIntyre, Graeme Butcher, Phil McKay and Aaron O'Keefe were the only entrants to cut the 48km in under five hours, race favourite McIntyre triumphing in the highly-impressive time of 4h 9m 4s to record his first win in the event.</p>
