Heat fails to deter hardy tour cyclists
Last Sunday’s Tour de Beautiful cycle challenge in Central Hawke’s Bay attracted 319 enthusiastic cyclists from around the North Island who battled temperatures rising above 30C near Waipukurau. The challenge included 100km, 55km, 25km races, as well as a 10km children’s section, through some of the district’s scenic countryside.
