Eighties themed roller derby
Pettigrew Green Arena played host to the Dire Skates event on Saturday night the end of year bout for the Bay City Rollers and even featured visiting top referee Dr Chris Warn-Her. The Bay City Rollers, our premier local roller derby team, were divided into two intraleague teams called Purple Pain (Napier) and Hell's Belles (Hastings), to battle it in an 80s themed bout. Glenn Taylor swung by to snap all the crashing and bashing action.
