Art Deco in pictures
The Napier Sound Shell has all the marvellous colour and style of the Art Deco era, so it has long been a focal point for the entertainment side of all things Deco. Dancing, singing, musical outings and even bathing belles filled the stage and delighted the large crowds who assembled, dressed accordingly, to take in the jolly fine fun. Photographer Warren Buckland was there to take it in also — on camera.
