Some 2500 Hawke's Bay children will be singing their hearts out next week as part of a series of World Vision Kids For Kids concerts in the region hosted by Suzanne Prentice.
This is the 11th year the concerts have been staged throughout the country.
Tour manager Russell Johnson said they provided an opportunity for Kiwi children to perform and entertain their families, as well as raise funds for needy children overseas through World Vision.
More than 1200 children from 28 schools in urban and outlying Napier will be taking part in three concerts at the Napier Municipal Theatre tonight, tomorrow and on Wednesday, starting at 7.30pm.
About the same number from 27 Hastings schools will take part in concerts at the Hawke's Bay Opera House on June 12, 13 and 14.
"The teachers love it, the children love it and the music teachers preparing the children's choirs have responded with absolute enthusiasm," Mr Johnson said.
More than 15,000 children took part in the Kids For Kids concert across the country last year.
* Tickets for the Hawke's Bay concerts are available through Ticketek.
