A dangerous and notorious Mongrel Mob member with an extensive criminal history was arrested this morning in Flaxmere.
The 45-year-old was on the run from Waitakere Police after he breached his parole conditions.
Police said Andre Tipi Rangi Wiremu Schudder was apprehended at a residence on Dundee Drive about 8.00am after information from the public led them to the address.
Schudder normally lives in the Auckland area, but has strong family connections to Hawke's Bay and was reportedly in the region during the past few months.
There were several warrants for his return to prison, police said.
