FIFTEEN-year-old ministock driver Tara Whiteman won the last race of the day at Eastland Kart Club's fourth points meeting of the season.
It was in the rotax class, and Whiteman was racing against the men.
Some good, fast racing was on show at the meeting, and Spring Thompson's kart wasseen with all four wheels off the ground.
Meanwhile, a band of helpers kept things moving smoothly.
Club president Sam Lyle has been doing the lap scoring. His wife Lyn does the flap box at the end of the straight, and lots of other jobs besides. Richard Goodson is busy in the pit and checks the karts before racing. Teresa Goodson is in the flap box going into pit corner and Shanan Gooch has kept the dust down by putting water on the track.
The next meeting is at the Aerodrome Road track on Sunday. Racing starts at 10am. It is a non-points meeting, and spectators can check it out free of charge.
