WAIKOHU and YMP head into tomorrow night's midweek premier-grade netball games at the YMCA level on points, so neither team can afford to slip up.

Claydens Waikohu (1) play Gillies Electrical Gisborne Girls' High School Senior A at 6pm in the Pak'nSave competition.

YMP (1) take on F45 High School Old Girls at 7.30pm.

Waikohu have recorded three wins from three games so far in Round 2.

Both they and YMP are on 12 competition points.

Waikohu have been playing well and their links throughout the court have been strong, with all players working for each other and moving the ball at speed.

Girls' High Snr A are at the bottom of the table with only one win from four games.

However, they earned a bonus point for their close loss to Whangara Old Girls last Wednesday.

When the students are confident in each other they move the ball well.

They will need to bring that confidence tomorrow night, otherwise Waikohu will run rampant.

In the second match, YMP (1) take on defending premier champions High School Old Girls.

YMP have been playing well and deserve to be at the top of the table.

They have strong links throughout the court and work together on attack and defence, pressuring the opposition at every opportunity.

High School Old Girls have had just one win from four games, although in two of their losses they gained a bonus point for a narrow margin of defeat.

The last time these teams met, YMP won by 15 goals, but they have been recording higher scores this round.

High School Old Girls will need to bring their top game to foot it with them tomorrow night.
