A team of golf croquet players from Gisborne’s Barry Memorial Croquet Club travelled to Tauranga to challenge similarly graded players from their club.

The Barry club won the handicap doubles games by 16 matches to 9.

The Tauranga club has a good record in Bay of Plenty district interclub competition. It has three times the membership of the Barry club, whose players were pleased to beat a team from such a well-performed club.
