Tapuae have been relishing the more physical style of play in the Gisborne competition, and while the learning curve has been fairly steep, they have responded well.
So far, the Wairoa team have recorded two wins and earned a bonus point for a close loss.
“Both Whangara and Tapuae like to move the ball at speed and work as a team on attack and defence,” Beale said.
“I am expecting the score to be closer than their first encounter.”
At 7.30pm tonight F45 High School Old Girls take on Gillies Electrical Gisborne Girls' High School Senior A.
HSOG had won their previous two games against Girls' High and had been playing some good netball to finish the round in a deserved second position on the table, Beale said.
“The students have produced some good passages of play and pushed higher-seeded teams in their games recently,” she said.
“But they will need their whole team working together for the full hour if they want to win this game.”
High School Old Girls have looked a much more settled team since the return from injury of skipper Alex Sinclair, who has been playing outstanding netball.
Their speed and passing accuracy will be a real test for Girls' High.
