“That means they'll be able to take each other out, but they will also need to keep themselves going, which is going to be a real challenge,” McGrory said.
It will be run over three heats, with accumulated points over those heats deciding the winner.
McGrory said he was also expecting out-of-town sidecar combinations to race this weekend.
“This will be their last chance to practise on our track before the New Zealand sidecar champs here on March 7.
“At this stage we expect eight outside bikes to be here, so we will run two heats for them during the night.”
The support programme also includes saloons, streetstocks, youth ministocks, stockcars and production saloons.
“They will all be competing for club points and I believe in some classes the points table is very tight,” McGrory said.
“We expect a sizeable contingent of visiting stockcars tomorrow night as well, to further liven up that class.”
They have indications that cars from Hawke's Bay, Bay of Plenty and possibly Rotorua will be there.
“We have had amazing racing at the track across the classes this season, and much more is to come,” McGrory said.
“We are organising a season finale for April. At this stage it will feature more than 40 superstocks, and the final of their Points Dash series.
“The meeting will also feature the final two rounds of the Eastland TQ Masters.”
The finale will run over two nights, scheduled for April 4 and 5.
“On the Saturday night, we will mark the end of the season the way we started it, with a fireworks display,” McGrory said.
This weekend the gates to the speedway will open at 5pm tomorrow, with the first race to start at 6pm.
McGrory said people were more than welcome to have a wander through the pits area before the start of the meeting.
