Gisborne Netball Centre has cancelled the scheduled Twilight League due to issues relating to competition management under current Covid alert levels.

“Upon discussing the latest level announcements, we are gutted to say we will be cancelling the league as it is,” centre manager Allisa Hall said.

“The numbers are too large for the sport gathering restrictions, and with each court fully booked we cannot correctly clearly define multiple areas.

“There is also not enough time between rounds for the hygiene requirements to be met,” Hall said.

“The move to the traffic light system is still looking uncertain in terms of time-frames at the moment, so we just cannot run ‘Twilight' as usual.

“We will be discussing options to see if there is an alternative we can run.”
