Family teams Ruahine Black and Ruahine Green went head to head in their Brezz’n Sports Club deferred darts match on Sunday.

Ruahine Black won 8-7. Players to shine for them were Sin Tupene, who scored her first 180, Pots Te Kira, who scored most tons in the match, and Mihi Awatere, who had the highest start — 140.

In Tuesday night winter league play, Falcons defeated Assassins 11-4.

Falcons’ Tahuna Irwin hit three 180s, one of them a start, had the night’s highest finish at 120, and had most tons at 28.

Assassins’ Ihaka Kaio-Wynyard scored most tons for his team, 13, and teammate Tristan Reeves had his first 180.

Te Kuzzyz continued their winning streak, defeating Stallions 11-4.

Te Kuzzyz’ Hukunui Brown had two 180s, while Toby Ratapu had the highest finish in the match — 116 — and Teretu Temoananui had the highest start — 140.

Stallions’ Dom Wilson hit nine tons, the most in his team.

Tigers defeated Pythons 14-1.

Tigers’ Erik Pu had a 180 and a match-high finish of 118. Teammate Renata Leach’s 11 tons were the most for the match, and Leach had the highest start of 140.

Pythons’ Sonny Laulau had six tons — the most scored by anyone in his team on Tuesday.

Rhinos beat GMC 15-0.

Rhinos junior Hunter Eyles had most tons in the match — 13 — while teammate Joe Kiri had a 180 and the match-high start of 140.

For GMC, Hoot Campbell had eight tons, the most in his team.

The match between Pumas and Ruahine Blacks went down to the last game.

Pumas’ Rendall McDonald got the win that secured the Pumas’ 8-7 victory. His 146 start was the highest for the match and his eight tons made up the equal highest number (with Mikey Evans) for his team.

Ruahine Blacks’ Mihi Awatere scored 12 tons — the most for the match.

Ruahine Green beat Hummingbirds 11-4, with John Ahuriri scoring two 180s, a match-high start of 120 and (alongside opponent Bobbi Eyles) the equal-highest number of tons — seven.
