Seth Iremonger capped off a steller karting season by winning overall points for two junior classes at the Eastland Kart Club prizegiving for the season, held at the the speedway clubrooms last Saturday.

He was the top driver in the KT100 Juniors and KT Junior Restricted, and was also presented with “The Most Promising Driver” award.

Mike Foster took out the most points for the season in the KT Heavies, after a season of top racing.

Jay Prosser took the trophy for overall Rookie points for the year.

Gooch Motorsport drivers also had a great season and picked up a few trophies over the night. Conrad Gooch got the perseverance award and was second in the Rookies class. Brodie Gooch followed him with a third in the Rookies.

Brodie has booked his dad in for maintenance over the off-season, after also getting the mechanical meltdown award for fuel tank and accelerator issues.

Koby Gooch took out third place in the Junior Restricted behind Zavier Iremonger in second, and his brother Seth Iremonger was first over the season.

Shanan Gooch also had a good season in the hard-fought Rotax class, taking home the Kevin McKay trophy for top points. Paul Farmer was not far behind in second and Jamie Harding was third for the year.

Vinzent MacGregor had an impressive night with the first place trophy in the Young Guns class, Best Presented Kart over all the classes, and the Michie Family trophy for highest points for the season overall, after winning every race this season.

Overall points for the 2019 season for each class —

Rookies: Jay Prosser 1, Conrad Gooch 2, Brodie Gooch 3.

Young Guns: Vinzent MacGregor 1, Callum Kemp 2, Layton Rogers 3.

Junior Restricted: Seth Iremonger 1, Zavier Iremonger 2, Koby Gooch 3.

KT100 Juniors: Seth Iremonger 1, Toby White 2, Conner White 3.

KT100 Heavies: Mike Foster 1, Jacob Moorcroft 2, Wayvern Vause 3.

KT100 Lights: Ethan Rogers 1, Nathan Williams 2, James Reen 3.

Women’s Rotax: Amerillis Farmer 1, Dana Kingsbeer 2, Fern Sutherland 3.

Women’s KT100: Aimee Whiteman 1, Nicola Iremonger 2, Tess Kemp 3.

Pro Class 200cc: Joel Rogers 1, Nick Rogers 2, Jacque Moroney 3.

Pro Class 270cc: Ben Briant 1, Cole Rossie 2, Rex Briant 3.

Rotax: Shanan Gooch 1, Paul Farmer 2, Jamie Harding 3.

Open Class: Wayvern Vause 1, Roger Moss 2, Kyle Prosser 3.

The club will hold its annual general meeting on Sunday, June 23 at 10am.All information is on the Eastland Kart Club website.
