Gisborne bowlers will contest the men's and women's centre open fours this weekend.
The men will play for the Peace Shield and the women, the Ella Gibson.
A round-robin format will be used. Eight men's and six women's teams are entered. Both competitions will be played at Te Karaka Bowling
Club tomorrow and on Sunday, starting 8.30am.
The women's skips are Bobbie Beattie, Del Tamanui, Glenys Whiteman, Betty Herring, Glenys Whiteman and Queenie Takarua.
Skips for the men's teams are David File, Steve Goldsbury, Lex Kennedy, Murray Murton, Bob McIlroy, Mick Maunder, Ropata Ruwhiu and Arthur Hawes.
