Racing at Eastland Kart Club’s fourth points meeting of the season was as hot as the weather.

In some of the best competition seen at the track lately, the fastest lap of the day again went to Seth Hall in his KT100. His time was 19.137 seconds.

In the Junior class, Nixen Gooch — racing on his birthday — got the three wins he wanted . . . a great birthday present.

Indigo McGuinness had two second placings and a third, while Pyper Irvine picked up a second and two thirds.

The rest of the drivers did timed laps to see which group they would start in, the fastest going into Group A.

Depending on results, drivers could go up or down groups as the day went on.

In the second race of Group A, Seth Hall pulled off an amazing passing move to grab the lead from Luca Vita in the best club race in a long time.

Hall had two wins and a second placing in this group.

Luca Vita got the other win and had two seconds, while Mike Hall had two third placings and Shaun Barwick had one.

In Group B, Hamish Worsnop had two wins and Daniel Taylor, one.

Lyn Lyle, Caleb Stichbury and Logan Irvine each had one second placing, while Tessa Irvine had two third placings and Stichbury, one.

Nine starters had a 12-lap race in the feature at the end of the meeting.

Mike Vita led for most of the race, only to be passed by his son Luca with a few laps to go.

Placings were Luca Vita first, Mike Vita second, Seth Hall third and Shaun Barwick fourth.
