Te kuzzys and Stallions advanced to their respective grade finals in Turanganui a Kiwa Darts Association’s playoffs.

The top four from the A and B grades fought out the first night of playoffs followng a 15-week round-robin competition.

The A Grade playoffs were a 21-game format of singles and pairs, the first to 11 the winners.

Te Kuzzys were the team to beat throughout the season and underlined their No.1 status 11-4 over second qualifiers Tigers.

They sealed their place in the 15th game, winning 4-2 in the singles and 7-2 in the pairs.

It put them straight into finals night — a “Night in Paris” masquerade party and prize-giving on November 9.

Tigers are still alive. They face the Falcons (tomorrow), who eliminated the Rhinos 11-3 (4-2 in the singles, 7-1 in the pairs) in the third-versus-fourth playoff.

stallions took the direct route to the B Grade final with an 8-4 win over top seeds Ruahine Black in their 15-game format playoff.

They won the pairs 6-3 and the singles 2-1 in the 12th game.

Black face the Pythons in a knockout semi.

Pythons beat Ruahine Green 8-3 (6-3 in the pairs, 2-0 in the singles) in their 3 v 4 playoff.

Pythons youngsters Shannan Eyles and Johnny Smith delivered the killer blows, with wins in the singles.

Tomorrow’s draw —A Grade: Tigers v Falcons.

B Grade: Ruahine Black v Pythons.

Note the draw for who will be the “home” team will be done by team captains before the semis.
