Wayne Tautau’s list of snooker achievements got a little longer when the President’s Trophy was decided at the Cosmopolitan Club.
The trophy, played off handicap, brings together players who have won or been runner-up in Gisborne Cossie Snooker Club tournaments over the year.
A full field of 16 lined up,
with eight players qualifying for the main event and the other eight contesting the plate.
Tautau, Kevin Kennedy, Tony Cleaver and Larry Robinson advanced to the best-of-three-frames semifinals of the main event.
Cleaver beat Kennedy 2-0 while Tautau defeated Robinson by the same score.
