Super vets travelling to Hamilton

EASTLAND will compete in the second round of the inter-association super veterans’ Division 2 badminton competition in Hamilton tomorrow.

Team members are Ron Prebble, Annabel Riwaka and Ruth Ledger from the Patutahi club, Robert Cameron, Kevin Lee, Helen Morley and Kahu Brown from the Gisborne club, and Manawatu loan player Matheus Batlajeri, who has played for Eastland for the past two years.

Linda White was unavailable for selection for tomorrow’s play.

Ledger will make her debut for the super veterans’ team. She last played representative badminton in 2012, for the Eastland veterans’ team.

Tomorrow, Eastland super veterans will play Waikato and a new team to the competition, Bay of Plenty. Both teams are placed above Eastland after the first weekend of competition.
