The Gisborne Speedway Club has now decided to allow fans to attend the club day planned for tomorrow, to open the season for 2021-22 at the Eastland Group Raceway.
Covid Level 2 requirements thwarted plans the club had for a major season-opening meeting tomorrow night.
“After many hours and many
phone calls, we have decided that we are going to allow spectators at the club day we have planned as an alternative to open our season,” a club spokesman said.
“There will be no food outlets open and there will be a $10 charge at the gate.
“Please scan in and be seated a metre apart, and please adhere to the Level 2 rules and keep us all safe.”
