GISBORNE rider Caroline Coop had a win and two second placings at the National Young Horse Show in Hastings over the weekend.
The show highlights the breeding and progress of New Zealand’s young showjumping horses.
In the Longspring Sport Horse Four-year-old Championship showjumping event, Coop rode Budgie (sire Corofino II/dam
Best Bet) to second-equal place.
Budgie’s sire, Xtreme Performance Stallions’ Corofino II (sire Corrado I/dam Valeska IV), was the star stallion for the year.
Coop also rode Eye Wonder to victory in the show hunter five-year-old championship and Budgie to second place in the show hunter four-year-old championship.
