FORTY-four riders braved the weather for another action-packed club night at the Gisborne BMX track.

Four striders took to their starting points for five close motos. India Gill, Scott Pheasant, Maddy Smith, Pippa Spence and George Wohnsiedler all had a good night on the track.

FIVE AND UNDER

Carlos Peterson was the rider to beat, with five wins, ahead of Oliver Gough, Austin Young and Damien Smith.

This class of nine riders was split into two groups. Walker Wallis raced out to five wins but Anna Spence was on a mission, too, and had two wins. Tied on points with Anna was Toby Smith, with two wins of his own. Zavier Iremonger was the best of the rest, leading William Johnston-Priest, Blake Carpendale, Henry Wallingford, Jakob Renny and Brad O’Connell-Bacon.

EIGHT AND NINE

Aliyah Lardelli had a good battle with Louie Sanders over their five motos. Sophie Barwick was quick in third place, from Oliver Pheasant, Sam Wallingford, Ashar McKnight, Liam Spence and Kaimani Tahuri.

TEN AND ELEVEN

Seth Iremonger was too fast for Kaitlyn Priest and Ethan Cunningham. Ethan was at his first club night.

TWELVE TO FIFTEEN

Joshua Lardelli was all class as he took five wins, with Hayden Pragnell leading the chase from Ruby-Anne Smith and Ethan Gill.

SIXTEEN-PLUS

Dylan Lardelli took the round win from Chris Fox, who is getting back into the sport and showing plenty of skill. Phill Gill was third overall, from Krystal Smith and Tylah Halley. It was impressive watching Dylan, Chris and Tylah jump the first straight three wide. They put on a good show.

MASTERS

Tim Smith was the rider to beat, with two wins. Next were David Bacon and Shane Pragnell, who tied on points. Rob Graham had a third and a second, and Matt Smith rounded out the group

WOMEN

Kyla Newton was the quicker of the two women. Michelle Renny, at her first club night, rode well.

The next club night is on Tuesday. New and old riders are welcome. Updates are on the Gisborne BMX Facebook page.
