THREE medals and numerous personal-best times were the rewards for Enterprise Cars Swim Team members at the New Zealand Division 2 championships in Dunedin this month.
Alesha Batisaresare raced in the 15-year-old girls’ division and won gold in the 50-metre butterfly, and silver in both the 50m freestyle and50m backstroke.
She placed fifth in the 50m breaststroke and sixth in the 100m freestyle. As well, she swam personal-best (PB) times in five of the eight events in which she was entered.
Bradley Anderson, 12, racing in the 12/13yr boys’ division, swam PBs in two of the five events in which he was entered. He had a strong meet and gained valuable experience.
Zavier Low raced in the 16-and-over boys’ division and swam PBs in two of the four events he contested. He placed eighth in the final of the 800m freestyle.
Team members are now in final preparations for the national age-group championships in Wellington in mid-April.
