“Taste One HSOG beat Waikohu by nine goals in the last round and they have been playing well as a team.
“However, Claydens Waikohu have shown improvement since then and have also been playing well as a team.”
Waikohu coach Cheryl Te Rito said the loss to the students last week was shocking.
“We will take tomorrow night as any other game and I hope we can clean up the mistakes we made in the last game.”
Te Rito hopes to have the in-form Stormy Merritt available.
“We will go out there, do our best and see what happens.”
HSOG coach Tanya Owen will be after a 60-minute effort from her side.
They let YMP dominate for the second quarter of last Saturday’s game and it cost them the game.
HSOG showed in the other three-quarters of that match that they could foot it with the best teams in the competition.
The first match at 6pm sees training mates Whangara Old Girls and Lytton Senior A in action.
“If the students can eliminate the errors that crept into their game last week, it will be a similarly close game,” Beale said.
Ronnie Martin coaches both teams.
“I will look after Lytton and Tracey Babbington-Maynard will take care of the Whangara girls,” Martin said.
“The Lytton team always lift for this game.
“It’s a shame they couldn’t do it for all games, but we are working on that.
“I expect it to be close again.”
