Elves, unicorns and Santa's ponies were all to be found at the Gisborne Equestrian Centre as Gisborne Riding for Disabled enjoyed a fabulous day at their annual fundraising show.

Gisborne RDA president Sandra Faulkner said the day was fun for everyone there.

“We were absolutely blown away by the wonderful support we received from our community.

“Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the sponsors and volunteers who helped us on the day.”

Faulkner said the benefits flowing from the Show were twofold.

“On the day, riders get to have a social day out with their equine partners, and all funds raised go to assisting people in our community facing physical challenges or other special needs.”

Head coach Amy Hopkins said it was amazing to see the number of people who came out on the day.

“It was an outstanding effort at such a busy time of the year,” she said.
