Gisborne junior cricket practice sessions this week have been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Poverty Bay Cricket Association called off all junior cricket practice sessions for the week, citing increasing dangers from the Covid-19 virus.
A Wairoa field day today was cancelled and Sonrise Christian Schooland Gisborne Intermediate teams were to compete in tournaments next week but they have been called off.
The Junior Colts 30-over final is due to go ahead on Saturday. At this stage, the prize-giving on Sunday will proceed.
