Neil Robinson, above, outgunned Phil Thompson Senior to win the Gisborne Cossie 8 Ball Pool Open Singles title at the weekend. Played under chartered rules, Robinson defeated Thompson 4-2 in the best-of-seven-games main final. Robinson beat Tony Murphy 4-0 in the semifinals while Thompson advanced with a 4-2 defeat of Bill Raggett. A best-of-five-games round-robin decided the top four.
