FOUR Poverty Bay Kayak Club members have received a huge boost heading into the sprint national champs, which started today.
Kim Thompson and Britney Ford have been named to represent New Zealand in under-23 crew boats for the world junior and u23 championships at Pitesti, Romania, in July.
Alicia Hoskinand Alex Bermingham are in the u18 crew boats squad.
An eight-person u23 squad and 10-person u18 squad were named.
Selection for the K1 races will be confirmed after the sprint kayak champs on Lake Karapiro.
