Two old foes will meet again in the Gisborne Tairawhiti Rugby League senior competition at Awapuni Sports Stadium tomorrow.

Reigning champions Paikea Whalers will match up against past winners Turanga Panthers at 1pm.

The Panthers have returned to the competition after a five-year hiatus, and among their squad are some legends of the local game, such as former Kaiti Knights and Gisborne-East Coast Lions powerhouse Tom Miki.

The Falcons have the bye this week.

Waengapu Stallions play Ngatapa Stags at 2.30pm at the stadium.
