Former Gisborne Speedway Club sidecar racer Rob Miller and his swinger “Red” George got their season’s campaign off to a flying start for their new contracted club, Palmerston North, on Saturday night.

They won both their opening races at their new home track. The third race was called off due to rough track conditions. Then they went to a meeting in Whanganui on Sunday and won three from three.

“Even though we’re not registered with Gisborne this year we are still ‘Gizzy’ at heart,” Miller said.

Their race number will be 8P this season.
