Eastland Masters won both their ties in the North Island Regional Masters northern region Division 3 badminton competition in Rotorua on Saturday.

They defeated Waitakere (4) 8 matches to 4 and Auckland (3) 7 matches to 5.

Drivers had a chance to blow out a few cobwebs when Eastland Kart Club held a test and tune day yesterday.

Drivers got five 10-lap races each, plus an all-in 12-lap feature race.

Star of the day was Daniel Taylor in his KT. He won most of his races and was second to Spring Thomson in the feature.

Dion Lund showed some good speed in his new KT kart, while Luca Vita and his father Mike are racing well and improving all the time.

Anyone keen to try dirt karting should go to Eastland Kart Club's Facebook page to get in touch with the club.
