THE last winter meet of Gisborne BMX Club attracted 24 riders to the track on Sunday.

Results —

Five and under

Jax Nepia-Anderson was the sole strider on the strider track. He continues to love his riding.

Pippa Spence and Stan Donaldson also continue to improve and enjoy their racing as they push themselves by starting further around the track each week.

Six and seven years

William Johnston-Priest was the rider to chase and that’s what Anna Spence did as they raced ahead of the field in a good battle over the five motos.

Mika Goldsmith led the chasing pack of Blake Carpendale, Frank Donaldson, Stephen Bennett and rider of the day Liam Nicol.

Eight and nine years

Reave Nepia-Anderson was on a mission, with four wins, but Reef Hillman was in hot pursuit. Brad O’Connell-Bacon was third overall and put in a good challenge, as did Lucas Leif Nicol, Liam Spence and Emily Goldsmith.

Sixteen-plus

Joshua Lardelli made a winning return to bmx, topping this group. He was followed by Phill Gill, Guy Spence, David Bacon, Sherilyn Anderson and Kyla Newton.

Twelve and 13 years

Kaitlyn Priest was too fast for the battling Ashar McKnight and Cory Carpendale.

Club racing will return on Tuesday October 16, with racing starting at 6pm.

The Gisborne BMX Club congratulates Ruby-Anne Smith on a fifth placing at the recent AIMS Games hosted by the Tauranga BMX Club.
