It is six Poverty Bay East Coast centre pairs titles and counting for Pauline Stone and Nanette Treloar.

The deadly duo’s latest success added to their individual tallies — Treloar now has 20 and Stone 16.

Kayla Trowell and Rachael Rickard were runners-up in the pairs while Lois Lamont and Kiki Casey were third.

Adam Rickard underlined his exciting potential in winning the men’s pairs alongside father Andrew.

The Rickards proved too good for their opposition over the competition.

They started the day by defeating Jay Casey and Sonson Casey, then beat Royden Owen and Sean Haskins, and qualified for the semifinals with victory over Warren Gibb and Doc Tipene.

From there they outgunned some heavy hitters.

They brushed aside Mike Foster and son Dylan 12-5 in the semifinals, then trouched Mal Trowell and David Lynn 11-2 in a one-sided final.

Andrew collected his 20th centre crown while it was a fifth for Adam, giving him a silver star for having won five centre titles dating back to the opening triples in 2019.

The Robieson fours in 2022 and closing triples in 2022 and 2023 are his other centre successes.

Andrew has been part of all of those while sister Rachael was in four of the winning combinations.
