“It was a close first quarter but HSOG were really settled in the second period.
“They played as a team, were quick to the loose ball, pressured the ball carrier and moved the ball effortlessly through the court.”
HSOG outscored the students by 20 goals to 7 in the second period.
“They showed a good understanding between each other, played hard and fast and outscored the students in the other two quarters as well.”
Beale said HSOG got all their players on court last night.
“They were very fluid in bringing the ball through the court and produced some very quick passes between the attacking players.
“Girls’ High were pressured by their opposition and pushed into making silly errors. They let HSOG take control.”
Winning coach Tanya Owen said it was a good win.
“In the first quarter we didn’t quite stick to our game plan, but after that we did.
“Our captain, Saffron Eparaima, who played at centre and wing defence, led the team well.”
Owen said the HSOG player of the match was Lisa Basford, at goal attack.
“Lisa showed fantastic skills.”
The three premier grade games to be played on Saturday will all be played outside on the courts at Victoria Domain.
“Spectators get a chance to see our top netballers displaying their netball skills on the outside courts,” Beale said.
