IT has been a long time since Poverty Bay and Ngati Porou East Coast had Heartland Championship rugby wins on the same day.
Here's hoping it will only be a week before the next double.
The Bay set up a 50-26 win over King Country at Rugby Park in Gisbornewith a 33-5 first-half charge.
East Coast, desperate to end a Heartland losing streak dating back to late September 2013, responded with a 50-26 (yes, the same score) defeat of Buller at Whakarua Park in Ruatoria.
Both games were entertaining affairs and an excellent advertisement for grassroots rugby.
