Eastland Kart Club's ninth points meeting and last meeting of the season turned on some exciting racing.

In the feature race at the end of the meeting, street stock driver Sean Gooch took the win in his Rotax kart in only his second meeting.

Second was Seth Hall in his KT, third was Vinzent MacGregor from the Young Guns class, fourth was Spring Thomson in his KT, fifth was Roger Moss in his Rotax and sixth was Jake Callaghan in his KT.

In the Rookies class, Nixon Gooch had two wins and a second, while Conrad Gooch picked up a win and two seconds.

Pyper Irvine had two thirds.

In the Young Guns class, wins went to Ella Nicholson, Vinzent MacGregor and Brodie Gooch.

Nicholson, Gooch and Tim De La Haye all recorded seconds, while Hamish Worsnop had two third placings, and Nicholson, one.

In the Juniors, Hayley De La Haye had two wins and a second.

Koby Gooch came away with one win and two seconds, while Luca Vita picked up a third.

In the women's class, Tessa Irvine, Sharyn Rogers and Robyn De La Haye had wins. They also had a second placing each, while third placings went to De La Haye, Irvine and Donna Greaves.

In the Rotax pro class, Shanan Gooch had three wins, while Sean Gooch had two seconds and Harley Davis, one. Third placings went to Roger Moss with two and Davis, one.

In the KT heavies, Dion Lund had one of his best days yet, picking up two wins and a second.

Buck Rogers picked up the other win and two thirds while Wayvern Vause had two seconds and a third.

In the KT lights, wins went to Spring Thomson with two and Daniel Taylor, one; seconds to Taylor, Alex Rosie and Seth Hall; and thirds to Hall, Jake Callaghan and Robert De La Haye.

The club prizegiving is on Sunday, May 30, at the Cosmopolitan Club. Tickets are available from Mangapapa Garage, and should be obtained by close of business on Friday this week, for catering purposes.
