Blair finished on a qualifying net total of 263 — two strokes ahead of John Neilson and Simon Pittar.

Te Puia Springs

THE ER Black Cup interclub to be held at Te Puia Springs on Sunday has been postponed.

The Gisborne East Coast veterans' visit scheduled for Tuesday is also off.

Gray power is back.

He may have won his division at the recent Poverty Bay Open but it has been lean pickings form-wise for Gray Clapham in recent times . . . that was until last week.

Clapham, who has battled the dreaded s-word, won the division 2 men's stableford on Thursday with 85-17-68, for 40 points and including a two, then shot 85-16-69, for 39 points, to win his division on Saturday.

Peter Kerekere produced one of the club rounds of the year so far in Sunday's heavy conditions, although it was only good enough for second.

Kerekere went out in 4-under 32 and was 6-under after 12 holes only to have, in his own words, “a couple of dumb bogeys (14th and 17th holes)” for 68.

Wednesday — Women's net: O Thompson 75.

SUNDAY — Men's stableford, division 1: C Simpson 37, P Kerekere 37.

Division 2: D Wright 36, P Rickard 35.

SATURDAY — Men's stableford, division 1: C Dean 37, M Jefferson 35, S Andreassen 34.

Division 2: G Clapham 40, J Aitchison 37, P Humphreys 36, J Williams 35, J Rowe 35.

Twos: G Morley, G Clapham.
