Gisborne’s Scott fourth in Fiji

ENTERPRISE Cars Swim Team member Matt Scott finished just out of the medals in the opening event of the Oceania Swimming Championships yesterday.

Scott was fourth in the open water 10-kilometre swim held in choppy conditions at Suva. He was up with the lead bunch heading into the last 300 metres but was outsprinted in the surge towards the finish.

He will also take part in the 5km swim this week.
