Hall named Jess Colebourne player of the match for Gisborne Laundry Services Wainui Riverina for a strong game in the middle of the park.
It didn’t take long for Campion College to open their account against Tatapouri Marist Thistle.
They then added to it before Marist stemmed the flow for a bit. Campion led 7-0 at halftime and did well following up shots that were stopped but not held or cleared.
Both teams scored from penalties in the second half. Natalie Stairs got the biggest cheer from Marist Thistle supporters as she confidently stepped up and slotted Marist’s opportunity.
Campion added to their tally in the second half but Marist Thistle also played some good football, working to hold possession and creating some opportunities of their own.
It was another game played in good spirit.
Amy O’Rourke was Marist Thistle’s player of the day. She worked tirelessly for the whole game.
The final score was 13-1.
Bohemians scored in the last minute of the game to salvage a 1-1 draw with Heavy Equipment Services United.
Stella Perano scored United’s goal from a corner in the first 20 minutes.
A poor clearance from United in the 89th minute enabled Bohemians’ Sommer Murrell to score.
Bohemians coach Graham Maclean praised his team for the way they fought tirelessly for the draw.
