Some talented drivers are among the 15 entries so far for the North Island Streetstock Championship at the MTF Awapuni Speedway in Gisborne in two weeks.
The double-header meeting is being held on December 5 and 6 and drivers from Gisborne, Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Palmerston North, Rotorua and Dunedin areamong the entries.
The line-up for the Tyre General-sponsored champs, as of Friday morning, was 6G Cody Gooch, who won the NZ grand prix streetstock crown last season, 11A Corry Te Rito, 13R Steve Howard, 14G Daniel O’Neill, 16B Alistair Howatson, 17P Kennedy Browne, 51G Keelyn Smith, 59R Alan King, 64B Dontage Irfan, 78G Joel Whitley, 118D Allan Finch, who won the streetstock national title in 2023-2024 season, 177B Sammy Durston, 352B Taamai Graham, 858R Shane Bracken and 983G Duncan Pierce.
More entries are expected over the next two weeks.
Also running will be the McIndoe Logging Saloon Champion of Champions on the Saturday night, the Sam’s Upholstery & Gisborne Fluid and Machinery Ashley Scott Memorial on Saturday, minisprints on Friday and Saturday, plus youth ministocks, classic stockcars, production saloons and TQs.
