Waikanae surf lifeguards Oska Smith and Seven Mapu, along with Olivia Corrin from Midway, won medals at the Australian surf lifesaving nationals on the Sunshine Coast.

Smith won silver in the U19 men beach sprint and, with Mapu from Kaiaponi Farms Waikanae, picked up a silver in the open beach relay for their Aussie club Northcliffe.

Oska also won a bronze in the U19 mixed beach relay and was fifth in the U19 beach flags.

Olivia Corrin, from Dawson Building Midway, won a bronze in the open women board relay for Northcliffe.  She was 15th in the open iron final.
