Enterprise Cars Swim Team members Tyler Finau and Jack Keepa, pictured above competing in 100-metre breaststroke races, helped their club to the trophies for most points overall and most points in senior events (14 years and over) at the Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay Summer Championships at Gisborne’s Olympic Pool over the
weekend.
Finau won the award for Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay junior swimmer of the year and former Comet Swim Club member and current New Zealand team member Emma Godwin, now swimming for Hastings club Heretaunga Sundevils, was named HBPB swimmer of the year.
Comet were second in the overall points table and won the trophies for most points in junior events and for most gold medals overall. More detailed club results will be published this week.
