Gisborne Girls’ High School made the final of the upper North Island secondary schools D Grade netball tournament in Tauranga today after finishing top of their pool.
They beat Glenfield 52-10 and Dargaville 32-22 yesterday, and beat Onewhero 41-26 in a semifinal today.
Girls’ High were to play the finalagainst Dargaville at 12.30pm today. A win would earn them promotion to C Grade.
In the lower North Island tournament in Palmerston North yesterday, Lytton High School beat Havelock North High 39-29.
However, they lost their semifinal to Newlands College 41-36 and were to face Hawera High School in the 19th/20th playoff this morning.
