Week 1 of the BIZminton business house league went off with a blast last week.

The social grade made up of many new players featured two draws.

Woolie Jumpers drew 3-all with newcomers Turanga Health. Jumpers won on a countback of points — 161-142.

AsureQuality also won on a points countback against HDUBZ — 156-126.

Regulars Slammers and Stanley Family had 5-1 wins over new teams.

The competitive grade features only six teams this year. Newcomers Mixed Combo, Cuzzys and Unknowns joined Uawa regulars 3 + 1, WSP, and RSL51s, a team of Super Veteran representative players.

Results

Social Grade: Woolie Jumpers 3 Turanga Health 3 (Jumpers won on points countback 161-142); Slammers 5 Happy Go Lucky 1; AsureQuality 3 HDUBZ 3 (Asure won on points countback 156-126; Stanley Family 5 4TEEN 1.

Competitive Grade: Mixed Combo 6 3 + 1 0; RSL51s 6 WSP 0, Unknowns 4 Cuzzys 2

Draw for Week 2, 6pm:  Court 1, AsureQuality v 4TEEN; 2, Stanley Family v HDUBZ; 3, Woolie Jumpers v Happy Go Lucky; 4, Slammers v Turanga Health.

7.15pm: Court 1, Mixed Combo v WSP; 2 and 3 , 3 + 1 v Unknowns; 4, RSL51s v Cuzzys.

Duty team: RSL51s (sweep courts at the end of night).
