THE future of Gisborne netball was on show this week as over 200 boys and girls took the Victoria Domain courts for the primary Fast 5 tournament.
The 21 teams were divided into two sections, with the winners of each section meeting in the final. Te Wharau White and
Mangapapa Magic fought out the decider, Te Wharau winning 4-1.
“Both teams gave a great display of skills,” said tournament organiser Sherrill Beale.
“It was a great day, the kids had lots of fun and the weather was lovely.”
Beale gave a “huge thank-you” to the students from Gisborne Girls’ High School, Campion College and Lytton High School, who helped with umpiring.
