NZME Gisborne radio stations manager Treva Rice outlasted the 18-car field to win the Gisborne Auto Spares demolition derby on Saturday night before a big crowd at the Eastland Group Raceway.

The street car races took a toll on the original 26 starters for the derby, including one spectacular roll over.
