CHRIS Vincent could have written a shopping list by the time he got to the end of this small but clean wave at Wainui’s Whales break. Vincent was competing in the Wainui Store Turanganui open waveski surfing titles.

The event was part of the Sunsplash festival and the first competitive hit-out of the year for waveski surfers, who are looking towards Easter when the national titles are held here.
