SWIMMING
IT was a day of domination for the winners at the Gisborne Girls’ High School swimming championships on Tuesday.
Junior swimmer Sierra Blumfield, intermediate Jodiesha Kirkpatrick and senior Ava Smith together had 14 first-place finishes across the champs, held at the Gisborne Boy High School pool.
Smith won the
50m freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke, and the 100m freestyle, and was second in the 50m butterfly.
Kirkpatrick won the 50m freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, the 100m freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke, and the 200m medley.
