GISBORNE’S Central Federation footballers are in for a busy few weeks, with games in Palmerston North and Wellington against Capital Federation teams.

The girls travel to Palmerston North this weekend and the boys make the trip the following weekend.

In March they head to Wellington for more games.

In the 04/05 girls’ Central team (for players born in 2004 or 2005), Gisborne is represented by Dara Mulrooney, a left back or left midfielder who will experience Federation football for the first time.

Gisborne’s Lizzie Hall is assistant coach of this side.

In the 02/03 girls’ Central squad, leftback Lily Mae Auckram and wide midfielder Rubi Perano will fly the flag for Gisborne.

Both girls have played at federation level.

Gisborne’s Oliver Davies is playing in the boys’ 04 side.

Davies is a versatile player, comfortable in midfield or at centreback.

The older age-group boys’ Central squad will have three Gisborne players — Adam Simpson, a strong midfielder or fullback, Napier-based striker Jet Koll and Leo Crockett, a midfielder or striker who lives in Wellington.
