BADMINTON

ANOTHER edition of the badminton business house league starts next Wednesday (July 31). The closing day for entries is Sunday (July 28).

BIZminton 5 was completed recently with winners Enterprise taking the “log of wood” for the first time.

They defeated ThemissBhaviours 6 matches to 0. The match score did not reflect the game scores.

Enterprise’s Mike Rice and Amy McNay won their first game by only a point — 24-23 — from Trev Murray and replacement player Linda White. Justin Kent and Marsh Walker defeated Kahu Brown and White by three points in another close match. Walker and Rice held off a comeback by Alicia Armstrong and White to win their match 24-22.
